Our experienced spotters can help you to discover the diversity of coloration of the Sashimi Shrimp. They are small in size but lots of interesting details are visible once seen in a video or on a photo. Some color combinations are similar to Japanese Sushi (Sake/Salmon with wasabi or Maguro/Tuna with wasabi). So the nickname Sashimi Shrimp was born. The scientific/Latin name is not clear – at least we could not find a reliable source yet. They seem to be part of the Hippolytidae shrimp family. These are one of the favorite critters of our guests, especially underwater macro photographers.
