Project Description

Cyerce sp. /Cyerce cf. bourbonica (Flower Butterfly Seaslug)

The most distinctive feature of this Cyerce species is its translucent, brownish cerata adorned with spots, scattered white marks, and highlighted edges that bear a resemblance to a mollusk shell. The rhinophores are forked and transparent. The juveniles are more colourful than the fully grown butterfly sea slugs of this species. This species is like many others still undescribed.
