The Spotted Scorpion Shrimp (Metapontonia scorpio) is a rare species and belongs to the Palaemonidae family. It has the unique ability to turn its last two pleonites with tail fan dorsally over the 4th and preceding pleonal segments, resembling a scorpion. They have large round eyes and small spots all over their body making them a unique subject for underwater macro photography when visiting Romblon.
