Although the Leopard Shrimp (Izucaris masudai) can be found on wire corals they are actually associated with the small anemones living on the wire coral. They are often white in color with markings of brown or black mimicking their Sea Anemone host, but they can also be found in brown and yellow. The scientific name was derived from the place it was first found at: the Izu Peninsula in Japan.
