Hypselodoris reidi is a nudibranch with a translucent mantle. Most prominent is a dark brown patch near or around the gill pocket. It has a reticulate pattern of orange-yellow and slightly raised white spots on its back. The mantle has a small purplish often diffuse border like the foot.
