The rare Pontohi pygmy seahorse is a species that can be frequently seen by scuba divers and underwater macro photographers when visiting our resort and dive center. The name Pontohi pygmy seahorse was derived from an Indonesian dive guide named Hence Pontoh.
Hippocampus pontohi has a white or yellow color with typical red or pinkish markings. They live in the reef and are very active. This seahorse can reach a size of 1.7 cm.
