  • Scientific Name: Bulbonaricus brauni (Dawson & Allen, 1978)

This interesting fish species is known as Braun’s pughead pipefish (Bulbonaricus brauni) and is a popular photo subject for underwater macro photographers coming to our resort. The name was derived from Mr. J. Brown, who first presented the single type specimen in an Australian museum. Scuba divers can identify this species quite easily because of its eel-like appearance and reddish color with white dots all over the elongated body.
